Is there such a thing as an upscale pool hall?
If there wasn't before, such a seemingly oxymoronic establishment was born when Reed Pierce's opened in Byram in 2006.
Erase from your mind those images of unsavory characters and shady dealings you've got from one too many viewings of The Color of Money—Reed Pierce's is a place that offers the class and character that the gentleman's game of billiards deserves.
Owned by its namesake, Jackson native and 1995 U.S. Open 9 Ball champion Reed Pierce, the establishment offers pool players a pristine enviroment complete with tournament-worthy tables to hone their skills, but that's just a part of its charm.
Its logo promises "Eat. Drink. Play." and that's just what Reed Pierce's delivers—in addition to the pool tables it's a fully-functioning upscale restaurant, bar and music venue (with bands on Friday and Saturday nights) located in a 6,000-sq. ft. facility complete with an outdoor patio area.
So if your misconceptions of what a pool hall entails have led you to not make the trek over to Siwell Road to Reed Pierce's, check out our photo tour and see what you've been missing.
