The concept for The Electric Cowboy started when a couple of local guys decided the Jackson club scene needed something new and fresh, so they opened a country western style dance bar that is oddly fused with hip hop. They show appreciation to their loyal customers who come out each week and support by providing them with two VIP areas. Did we mention that they have a mechanical bull? They have various contests, like the nine week karaoke competition and themed parties such as "dress up like your favorite super hero" which turns out to be a competition of who can wear the skimpiest spandex attire with a cape. They always have a cover of $10 and ladies get a break on Thursdays but still pay $5. Wednesdays are karaoke and biker night, and Fri.-Sat. are music nights.
