Mississippi Blues Marathon

When it comes to the blues, usually the rockin' ends at the break of dawn. But at the Mississippi Blues Marathon, an event that was held for the second time this year after a successful inaugural run, that's when it began when the race kicked off at 7 a.m. on Jan. 4 along with live performances by a number of blues musicians along the marathon's track. Metromix groggily snapped some pics of the race despite getting up earlier than any nightlife publication should, and then we were more in our element when we hit the after party at Hal & Mal's that evening.
