Southern Miss gained bowl eligibility Saturday, Oct. 22 after improving its record to 6-1 after a 27-3 homecoming victory over SMU. It is the 18th straight season that USM has earned the sixth win needed for postseason play. Metromix hit the pre-game festivities.
