Chances are you know the song "Touch, Peel and Stand" even if you don't recognize it by its title—it was a no. 1 hit for Louisville, Ky., post-grunge act Days of the New, whose 1997 self-titled debut album was a platinum-selling smash. Now, after a lengthy hiatus, the band has returned to performing live and brought their unique all-acoustic sound to the stage at Fire on Friday, Jan. 23 supported by local act Fallen.
