Songwriters Night: A Tribute to Linda Watts was held at Hal & Mal's Red Room on Monday, June 15. The event was a benefit for Watts—known for starting a series of songwriter nights at local venues in the late 1980s to give musicians a chance to exhibit their original material—who is fighting kidney cancer. The event featured performances by local favorites like Raphael Semmes, Hunter Gibson, Larry Brewer, The Pates, Johnny Crocker and others. Metromix's camera dropped by for this celebration of Jackson's original music.
