Songwriters Night: A Tribute to Linda Watts was held at Hal & Mal's Red Room on Monday, June 15. The event was a benefit for Watts—known for starting a series of songwriter nights at local venues in the late 1980s to give musicians a chance to exhibit their original material—who is fighting kidney cancer. The event featured performances by local favorites like Raphael Semmes, Hunter Gibson, Larry Brewer, The Pates, Johnny Crocker and others.
