Chris Brown accepts the award for best male R&B artist
Chris Brown capped off his incredible comeback year at the 2011 BET Awards on Sunday, June 26, picking up four awards including best male R&B artist and delivering a show-stopping performance with a medley of his hits "She Ain't You" and "Look at Me Now," with help from Busta Rhymes. The latter song won Breezy his second award of the night, for best collaboration.
The night's other big winners included Nicki Minaj (best female hip-hop artist), Wiz Khalifa (best new artist) and Kanye West (best male hip-hop artist—which he wasn't there to accept). But the night's most memorable moment may have come when a poor fan, Tiffany Green, was brought up to present the Coca-Cola Viewers Choice Award—and apparently announced the wrong winner (Chris Brown), then caught herself and announced a different wrong winner (Rihanna). Awkward! After some confusion, Drake sheepishly took the stage to accept the award—but later, the show's producers announced that Green had actually been right the first time, and winner was really Chris Brown. Double awkward!
