Weezer, Muse and more kick off three-day fest
There may be no better place to party over Halloween weekend than New Orleans, a city known for voodoo mysticism, elaborate costumes and even more elaborate cocktails. So it makes sense that the Voodoo Art and Music Experience will take over City Park this weekend for a raucous three-day festival featuring the Prince of Darkness himself, the great and powerful Ozzy Osbourne, along with My Morning Jacket, Drake and many others.
The festival's first day featured a set of classics from Weezer, whose cardigan-clad frontman Rivers Cuomo acted restless as he wandered around the stage, and a glam-rock blowout by English band Muse. Check out our gallery of musical highlights, including sharp sets by Eli "Paperboy" Reed, Georgian rockers Dead Confederate and Metric, led by Canadian indie siren Emily Hanes.
