One of the best restaurants in Jackson. The paradoxical atmosphere of a gourmet restaurant set up in an old drive in, as well as a greasy spoon lunch fused with a gourmet touch makes this classic a multi-layered favorite. The famous tamales for an appetizer or the fried green tomatoes are a must. The entrees are all superb, varying from originally styled filet mignon, and house prepared dishes like the Redfish Anna with lump crab meat atop the tender catch with a buttery sauce. Walker's proves its many dimensions by serving a laid back burger style lunch and transitioning to upscale dining at night. If you have good taste you'll go here for dinner.
