Go on Wednesday night if you enjoy raw oysters. They are 25 cents each then. Crab's if a fun place to kick back and enjoy a light meal in a friendly atmosphere. You won't be disappointed.

I normally wouldn't even bother with signing up on a website to give a food establishment a positive or negative review. Buyer beware! This place totally sucks for your money. To hell with revamping Jacktown. I'm much happier in the suburbs eating my $8-15 franchise meals. At least I know what I wiILLL be getting... Red Lobster would be a better choice than this place. Bill's Greek Tavern--- Now that's where ya go for seafood...

Worst sea food experience ever!!! Three of us, bucket of boil shrimp, grill red fish and bucket of dungeness crab(2 clusters only)! $66.00 total, didnt add tips yet. 1. boil shrimp, those shrimp was dead probably 10 days ago, SO NOT FRESH, small and not deveined. $18. 2. grill red fish was ok, less than 6ounce tho, $17. 3. Dungeness crab was HORRIBLE, over cooked, not fresh, 2 clusters only $27!!! If you have tried Sal and Phils, then you knew what I am talking about. ($18, 3-4 clusters) Will never go back again...

ok challenger 54 if you want chicken strips DO NOT GO TO A SEAFOOD RESTAURANT, furthermore, some of you wannabe food critic rednecks are the reason jackson is being held back from progressing, as local restaurants are closing left and right. IF YOU THINK IT'S FAIR TO THE GUYS WHO OWN THE BUISNESS TO BE OPENLY CRITICISED LIKE THIS , LETS SEE YOU PUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION ON HERE SO OTHERS CAN MALICIOUSLY TRY TO PUT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ON THE STREET. I JUST WANNA SAY TO THE GUYS AT CRABS , BEYOND TRYING TO RESTORE SOME LOCAL DIGNITY BACK TO THIS TOWN, THEIR SEAFOOD IS GREAT.

I ate @ Crab's Seafood Shack last night for the first time. Friends took me there for a b-day dinner because the had been there the week before. They just couldn't stop talking about how good the crab was. I was pretty skeptical. I love fresh seafood and it is hard enough finding good seafood in the Gulf regions, much less here in the Jackson area. I was very impressed with how fresh the crab tasted. Yes, it is kind of pricey, but what good seafood restauraunt isn't? Even on the coast whether it be Florida to Texas, all seafood establishments are priced above what peoples expectations are. The cost of Crab is up along with everything else. I will tell everyone I know, they need to try Crab's Seafood Shack. And it is right next door to a Dairy Queen. You can walk over and get ice cream after your dinner.

This is crazy!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE. Some of these comments make me wonder if they arent other local eatery owners trying to give this place a bad rap. Some people arent happy unless they have something to complain about. I used to live in Destin and I KNOW good shack food and THIS IS IT!! Service can be spotty but where can you eat that it isnt?

Do Not Eat Here! The food is crappy, the cooks don't know how to cook seafood, the service is the worst in MS. My experience here was the worst I have ever had. The first time we went there, we had a great waiter and we went back. BAD DECISION - that waiter is gone and the rest of the staff are very rude and don't care if your happy with your food or not.

My family ate at the Crab Shak last weekend. Three of us split the mixed combo bucket for two. We had plenty to eat. All the boiled crab and shrimp was easy to peel and cooked to perfection. Maybe the other reviewers went at the wrong time of the year. We will return.

The worst seafood EVER . I m NOT a big fan of seafood BUT even I know that WAS BLA BLA. I m NOT a critc but I give it 0 STARS. I much rather GO To SAL & PHILS. Now that my 9 year old has spoken, here are my comments. Sorry to say that everything my family orderd that night was beyond human consumption. I really hate to rate it so negative, but if their going to stay in business they must revamp their recipes and/or method of cooking their seafood. Maybe fresh rather than frozen? How do you mess up chicken strips?

My friends and I are always looking for a fun hang out spot for our monthly ladies night. I think we have found a new favorite. One girlfriend lives in the ridgeland area and kept mentioning this new place, so we finally went. The decor is just charming, for a good drinking spot. The beer selection was great, they had Lazy Magnolia on draft, one of our favorites. We ordered various appetizers and could easily relax in the shack atmosphere. We always eat light and decided to all split one of the crab buckets. There were four of us, and the bucket for two was too much! We really enjoyed ourselves and will definately be back!

My husband and I went to Crabs Sunday, December 21st. Thinking that since the place is called Crabs we would order some fried crab claws only to be told by our waitress that they were out. Very disappointing!! The service was also not up to par. We had ask several times to get our drinks refilled. We will not go back.

A friend of mine and I visited the Crab Shack, thought the Crab Salad would be a good choice. BAD decision, crab meat skimpy and also appeared to be more like claw meat rather han lump crab. You couldn't enjoy the salad for picking out the pieces of crab shell. I was very disappointed and will not go back.
