Inside: Mint
Since it opened in the early part of the 2000s, Julep Restaurant (located at Highland Village in Jackson) quickly became one of the metro's premier restaurants with its innovative fusion of classic Southern cooking with modern culinary trends.
Now Julep owners Patrick and Mary Kelly have taken the concept to the next level with their latest restaurant, Mint.
Located in the Renaissance shopping center in Ridgeland, Mint retains the basic idea of combining classic Southern offerings with modern cooking techinques, but ups the ante by using only locally grown and produced foods to create a fine dining experience unique to the area.
Combined with the restaurant's incredibly posh and breathtaking atmosphere, it's no wonder Mint was voted Best New Restaurant by Metromix readers.
Here's a look inside what makes Mint one of the most intriguing restaurants—not just in Madison County, not just in the metro area—but in the entire South.
