Been waiting for a place to get good steamed seafood!

I was a little leary after reading some of the reviews on here but I decided to try it anyway. The food was great! I hate going to a seafood restaurant and having the choice of a fried platter or a grilled fish. We got the snow crab bucket with a 1/2 lb of shrimp and an oyster/shrimp poboy! The crab was seasoned great but would have liked a little more heat! There was more food than 1 person could ever eat. The poboy was on pressed bread like it's supposed to be was also very tasty. We have been waiting on a place to get good steamed seafood for a long time and we finally found it! Thanks Crabs!

this was a very enjoyable experience, i actually got on this web site and read the reviews even the bad ones to see how accurate they were, let me tell you we tried everything the last post (fifi) was wining about, and she propably never even ate there because it was great. the shrimp were fabulous and the dungenous bucket was MORE THAN ENOUGH. WE GOT SAT PROMPTLY AND THE SERVICE WAS SECOND TO NONE. I WILL MOST CERTAINLY BE BACK TO CRABS SEAFOOD SHACK!!!!!!!!

Three of us, bucket of boil shrimp, grill red fish and bucket of dungeness crab(2 clusters only)! $66.00 total, didnt add tips yet.
1. boil shrimp, those shrimp was dead probably 10 days ago, SO NOT FRESH, small and not deveined. $18.
2. grill red fish was ok, less than 6ounce tho, $17.
3. Dungeness crab was HORRIBLE, over cooked, not fresh, 2 clusters only $27!!! If you have tried Sal and Phils, then you knew what I am talking about. ($18, 3-4 clusters)
Will never go back again...

When we arrived, no one made the effort to greet or seat us, the hostess was busy on her cell phone. No one waiting to be seated, plenty of open tables. Finally we were seated, took for ever for male waitress to come to table, ordered two (2) beers a oyster po-boy and a shrimp po-boy. Beers came and they were cold, but it took over twenty minutes for the po-boys to arrive.

Both Po-boys were made from the small hard end of the bread, piled with dried lettice, and a end cut of tomato, PLUS there were two (2) over fried oysters on my po-boy and (2) unpeeled shrimp on the other po-boy. When we finally got the waiter back to the table, he stated "thats the way the cook does po-boys". I ask for the owners, not there, manager on break, no one really in charge.

I wrote a letter to the owner, gave name, address, phone number, have not heard from anyone, needless to say Will Not Return or Recommend.

My wife, in-laws and I just returned from our first and last visit to Crab's Seafood shack. We didn't know Good Time had closed until we got there and the sign was on the door so it was either tried and true mediocre Sal and Phil's or a chance visit to Crab's. To our great misfortune we chose Crabs to satisfy our craving for shrimp po-boys. The place looked clean. The service was a little slow but still better than any I've had in my many years going to Good Time. Now to the reason for my missive...The shrimp poboys were absolutely aweful. Maybe Al and Sal have spoiled me to fresh breaded shrimp and perfectly prepared bread and fixings.....Mayo was served on the side..WHY???? The shrimp were previously frozen...WHY?? The shrimp were from Sam's club or Cisco...WHY??? I am from this area and know what shrimp should taste like and the folks at Crab's just ain't hitting it.. The shrimp at Crabs was 90-120 count frozen breaded shrimp that were just below what you would expect from Captain D's. The fries were frozen "seasoned steak fries" that were from a grocery store freezer. While I didn't expect Stamp's quality fries ( the french fry standard for Jackson) I did expect something better than what we received. I was shocked and more than disappointed. I hate tp judge a place based on one dish and unfortunately all of us order the shrimp poboy so we didn't have a chance to try another dish but I really don't feel that I should chance another 27.00 on what might be bad food. Jackson needs a great po-boy joint but folks...this place ain't it...don't waste your time or money.

I happen to know for a fact that it is against health code to bring outside food into ANY restaurant and it if it wasnt, it is just plain tacky. So your husband was asked to take his food out. Hamburgers and chicken are available on the menu here....I know because I eat here often and the managment and servers are very nice. I am sure they had a reason to threaten calling the police, like maybe you were angry and making a scene? If you want Dairy Queen, eat at Dairy Queen. I have had nothing but good experiences here and would recomend it to anyone.

THE RUDEST STAFF EVER!

My husband doesn't eat seafood, so he runs next door to dairy queen. We order drinks and I order food. I told the waiter that he was going to dairy queen, he didn't say a word. When my husband gets back with his chicken basket, the waiter tells him that it is against policy for him to bring food in. Well, then the manager comes over and makes a huge deal about him bringing dairy queen in. I said, "Do you want him to leave?" She just stood there. Then I said, "Let's go." Then she told us that we needed to leave. When we got outside, two of the young boys who worked there starting yelling at us saying they were gonna call the cops if we didnt leave. I was already getting in the car. They starting waving goodbye. Then one of them starting acting like he was shaking his private part at us. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED THIS WAY IN A RESTURANT. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TOLD THAT ONE PERSON HAD TO LEAVE IF THEY WEREN'T GOING TO EAT THEIR FOOD.
